The OPA2205 is the next generation of the industry standard OPAx277 family. The device is a precision, bipolar e-trim op amp with a super beta input. The device uses TI's proprietary trimming technique to achieve an input bias voltage of ±2µV (typ) and an input bias voltage drift of ±0.04µV (typ).
Designed in a bipolar process, the OPA2205 provides an ultra-high-speed power ratio of 3.6 MHz, requiring only 220 μA. The device also achieves a low voltage noise density of only 7.2 nV/√ at 1 kHz. Due to the super beta input, the OPA2205 has a very low input bias current of 100 Pa (typ) and a current noise density of 110 Farads/√Hz.
The high performance of the OPA2205 makes it ideal for systems requiring high accuracy and low power consumption, such as flow and pressure transmitters, portable data acquisition (DAQ) systems, and high density source measure units (SMUs). The OPA2206 is a related product with the same op amp core but with additional input overvoltage protection.
