Description of TPL5010-Q1

The TPL5010-Q1 is an AEC-Q100 qualified, low-power nanotimer with watchdog function, ideal for system wake-up in duty cycle or battery powered applications. In such systems, the microcontroller timer can be used to wake the system, but if the timer sleep current is high, the microcontroller timer can consume up to 60%-80%_ of the total system current in this sleep mode. Consuming only 35nA, the TPL5010-Q1 can perform functions in place of the integrated microcontroller timer, allowing the microcontroller to operate in a lower power mode. This power saving extends battery life and significantly reduces battery size, making the TPL5010-Q1 ideal for power-sensitive applications. The TPL5010-Q1 offers selectable time intervals from 100ms to 7200s for interrupt-driven applications. For safety reasons, some standards, such as EN50271, require the implementation of a watchdog function. The TPL5010-Q1 not only implements the watchdog function, but also hardly adds any power consumption. The TPL5010-Q1 is available in a 6-pin Small Outline Transistor (SOT)-23 package.
