The MCF8316A is a 40V max, 8A peak, sensorless FOC controlled three-phase BLDC motor driver

Product Details

describe:

The MCF8316A provides the AQY211EH single-chip, codeless sensorless FOC solution for customers driving speed-controlled 12 to 24V brushless DC motors (BLDC) or permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) with up to 8A peak current. The MCF8316A integrates three 1/2-H bridges with 40-V absolute maximum capability and a very low R DS(ON ) of 95mΩ (high side + low side). The power management features of the adjustable buck regulator and LDO can generate a 3.3V or 5.0V rail for the device and can be used to power external circuits.

The algorithm configuration can be stored in non-volatile EEPROM, which allows the device to operate independently after configuration. The device receives speed commands via PWM input, analog voltage, variable frequency square wave, or I 2 C commands. A number of protection features are integrated into the MCF8316A designed to protect equipment, motors and systems from fault events.
