Although it has not been listed yet, just a few days ago, SONY announced the launch of a new pink mirror color for Xperia XZ Premium. This new color is expected to be launched at the end of June. Design is the first part.

This time XZ premium has three colors, BQ27510DRZT-G3 mirror black, mirror silver and mirror powder. In terms of mirror finish, silver is the most suitable, and mirror black also has a very beautiful reflection. In comparison, the reflection of mirror powder The feeling is not so strong, but more like bright powder, even so, it is still shiny and beautiful pink.

The designer took out the first draft of the mirror powder XZ Premium. At that time, it was just this pink, and more than 200 color samples were printed. After choosing from them, we can see the one on the far right. In fact, it has a very mirror effect. But the color is also the darkest and darkest, so it is difficult to make mirror powder. If you want a very mirror surface and high reflectivity, the color will become darker and no longer pink. If you want to be very pink, it is difficult to use light colors. The mirror surface is made, and the final product is the one selected under the consideration of color and texture.

In addition, this mirror black actually has dark blue in it (although it is a little inconspicuous), so it is not pure black, you can see blue reflections at certain angles, and blue is added because this is the Xperia this year. The main color of the mobile phone.

Silver is the most mirror-like. I don't know if anyone who bought Z5 Premium before bought silver (but with a protective case... XD).

The designer revealed that because the mirror surface needs to be treated in a clean room without a little dust, the yield rate of the mirror surface is not high, which is one of the difficulties in the process.

This year’s Xperia phones are almost all around the “Loop Surface” route, and XZ premium is no exception.

Both the front and back of the XZ Premium are Corning's fifth-generation Donkey Kong glass, which has a clean and light-transmitting feeling. The upper and lower edges are made of aluminum metal, which is reflected by diamond cutting.

After carefully looking at the entire mobile phone, I found that there is no antenna strip, and there is no plastic material cut out from the top and bottom. Where is the antenna?

In fact, this diamond-cut aluminum metal also functions as an antenna, so the surface and edges of the XZ Premium appear very clean.

It can also be seen that the lens is flat and not protruding.

However, this generation of flagship phones has moved towards high screen ratio and narrow bezels, but Xperia phones have not kept up. In fact, Xperia's XA and XA1 have extremely narrow bezels, indicating that SONY is capable of making narrow bezels, but the design of extremely narrow bezels has never appeared on Xperia's flagship phones, resulting in the size of the large-screen Xperia mobile phone. Effectively shrinking (in fact, 5.2 inches is also), it does not show the technical strength of the flagship machine.

In this regard, the SONY designer told us that the reason why the XA1 has such a wide space for the forehead and chin is that parts must be placed on the top and bottom of the XA1, but reducing the top and bottom ends is indeed the direction that will be worked hard in the future.

However, because the XZ Premium has its key points to emphasize, mainly the 4K HDR screen, for the experience of the film, the screen size cannot be reduced, and the new Motion Eye camera module also needs space, so this time, the high screen is not used. Proportion and narrow borders are put into the design focus. However, SONY also knows that many manufacturers are launching high screen-to-body ratios, and they will also strive to overcome technical difficulties to make mobile phones with narrow bezels.

Because there is an example of S8+ large screen but narrow border in front of me, I don’t think that the large screen is in conflict with the narrow border technology, so this statement does not really explain my doubts to me.

But after all, the characteristics of OLED and LCD are different, the thickness of the multi-layer structure in the screen is different, the bonding technology between the screen and the middle frame, how to arrange the parts on the original frame, whether the replacement parts are small enough, and how good is the quality? It is also necessary to take into account the anti-fall, whether it is necessary in terms of operating experience, cost... and other factors will affect whether to make a narrow frame? Can you do it with a high screen-to-body ratio? I don't know if it's this kind of interview. I can explain it in a while, but I'm sorry that I couldn't continue to ask you one by one to give you the answer. At present, it can explain that Xperia has not been high. The reason for the screen ratio and narrow-bezel mobile phones, sorry I can only provide such a statement.... But knowing that they will include this in the direction is also something worth looking forward to. )

In addition, the XZ Premium has an anti-fingerprint coating on the mirror surface. Even if fingerprints are stained, it can be easily wiped off with a cloth or clothes. (Very ancient ~ it's really good to rub)

The UI generally continues the Unifild Design concept of XZ, but there is a small point that the built-in dynamic theme, its circle will change with the battery capacity, when the mobile phone is used with low power, the position of the circle will change Running to the bottom of the comparison, when the power is about to run out, the circle will also turn red, which is a low-key and gentle reminder.
