CH344 is a USB bus adapter chip, which realizes the function of USB to four asynchronous serial ports UART0/1/2/3. It is used to expand asynchronous serial ports for computers, or to directly upgrade common serial port devices or MCUs to USB bus.

Features

CH344Q is a 480Mbps high-speed USB device interface, and CH344L is a 12Mbps full-speed USB device interface.

Built-in firmware emulates standard serial ports, used to upgrade original serial peripherals, or add additional serial ports via USB.

The serial port applications under the Windows operating system on the computer side are fully compatible and do not need to be modified.

Supports installation-free operating system built-in CDC class driver or multi-function high-speed VCP manufacturer driver.

Hardware full-duplex serial port, built-in independent transceiver buffer.

CH344Q supports communication baud rate 1200bps~6Mbps, CH344L supports 1200bps~230400bps.

The serial port supports 8 data bits, and supports odd parity, even parity and no parity.

Each serial port has a built-in 1024-byte receive FIFO and a 512-byte transmit FIFO.

Support common MODEM contact signals CTS and RTS.

Support CTS and RTS hardware automatic flow control.

It supports half-duplex and provides the serial port sending status indication TNOW, which can be used to control RS485 transceiver switching.

Note: The USB transceiver of CH344 is fully built-in according to USB2.0. The UD+ and UD- pins cannot be connected in series with resistors, otherwise the signal quality will be affected.
