USB to 8 serial port chip CH348

CH348 is a high-speed USB bus adapter chip, which realizes the function of USB to eight asynchronous serial ports UART0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7. It is used to expand asynchronous serial ports for computers, or convert ordinary serial port devices Or the MCU can be directly upgraded to the USB bus.

Features

480Mbps high-speed USB device interface, peripheral components only need crystal oscillator and capacitor.

Built-in firmware emulates standard serial ports, used to upgrade original serial peripherals, or add additional serial ports via USB.

The serial port applications under the Windows operating system on the computer side are fully compatible and do not need to be modified.

Hardware full-duplex serial port, built-in independent transceiver buffer, communication baud rate supports 1200bps ~ 6Mbps.

The serial port supports 8 data bits, supports odd parity, even parity and no parity, and supports 1 or 2 stop bits.

Each serial port has a built-in 2048-byte receive FIFO and a 1024-byte transmit FIFO.

Support common MODEM contact signals RTS, DTR, DCD, RI, DSR, CTS.

Support CTS and RTS hardware automatic flow control.

It supports half-duplex and provides the serial port sending status indication TNOW, which can be used to control RS485 transceiver switching.

Support up to 48 GPIO input and output functions.

By adding a level conversion device, it supports RS232, RS485, RS422 and other interfaces.

The serial port I/O is independently powered, and supports 3.3V, 2.5V, and 1.8V power supply voltage.

Built-in EEPROM, can configure parameters such as chip VID, PID, maximum current value, manufacturer and product information string.

Single 3.3V power supply.

Available in LQFP48 and LQFP100 lead-free packages, RoHS compliant.

Note: The USB transceiver of CH348 is fully built-in according to USB2.0. The UD+ and UD- pins cannot be connected with resistors in series, otherwise the signal quality will be affected.
