TP5600 is a powerful ultra-large-scale integrated circuit mainly used for mobile power supply. It integrates five functions such as multiple protection against reverse input of input power, automatic charging management, automatic boost management, power display, and battery protection. In a single chip, the function is powerful but the peripheral application circuit is simple, the performance is stable and reliable, the debugging-free mass production, high efficiency and high yield.

TP5600 adopts unique single-inductor multiplexing technology, built-in high-efficiency synchronous step-down 4.2V 2A lithium battery charging circuit and synchronous boost 5V 2A output circuit; 4-channel LED display output, can display the power during charging and discharging in 5 segments, and can It is suitable for direct driving of red, green and blue LEDs, and also used for abnormal state alarm display; no external battery protection circuit is required, and various input and output protections (overvoltage, overcharge, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, etc.) are integrated inside the battery. ).

The TP5600 is specially integrated with input power reverse connection protection to prevent safety problems such as lithium battery damage and burning caused by reverse power supply during production, maintenance, and accidental user connection.

At the same time, TP5600 provides simple peripheral circuits for customers to choose different functions and performances: such as whether to automatically switch to boost when the charging input power is powered off; automatic shutdown under light load (when boosting); buck charging constant current adjustment; 5V boost output Maximum current limit adjustment.

The QFN24 ultra-small package has good heat dissipation performance and simple peripheral circuits, making the TP5600 also very suitable for independent high-current charging or independent boost management applications for other portable devices.

TP5600 has a wide input voltage (4.2-7V MAX), and charging the battery is divided into three stages: trickle precharge, constant current, and constant voltage. The trickle precharge current and constant current charging current are adjusted by external resistors. Typical The charging current is 2A, and the maximum charging current can reach 2.5A. The battery voltage rises while charging, and the 4LED segment displays status and charge. The switching operation mode of the charging switching frequency of 700KHz makes it possible to use smaller peripheral devices and maintain a small amount of heat during high current charging. TP5600 has a built-in adapter power adaptive circuit. When VIN current is not driven enough, causing VIN to drop to 4.2V, the charging current will be automatically reduced internally to adapt to different power USB ports, power supplies or adapters.

TP5600 has built-in anti-reverse connection PMOSFET1 and anti-backflow PMOSFET2 circuits, so there is no need for external reverse connection protection such as diodes, and it can withstand input reverse voltage of up to -10V.

The TP5600 synchronous boost circuit can output constant voltage and current limit, the voltage is internally fixed at 5V, and the current can reach 2A. The current limit value can be adjusted by external settings (VIlmt): by limiting the output current of the battery terminal, the VOUT output power is controlled.
