Product introduction

TP4065 is a complete single-cell lithium battery charger, the world's first single chip with battery reverse polarity protection, input power supply reverse polarity protection, compatible with 3mA-600mA charging current. With trickle, constant current, and constant voltage control, the SOT23-5 package and low external component count make the TP4065 ideal for portable applications. TP4065 can work with USB power and adapter power.

External sense resistors and blocking diodes are not required due to the use of an internal PMOSFET architecture, coupled with a reverse charge protection circuit. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charge current to limit the die temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. Full voltage 4.2V. The charge current can be set externally with a resistor. When the battery reaches the preset voltage, the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, and the TP4065 will automatically terminate the charging.

When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power supply) is removed, the TP4065 automatically enters a low current state and the battery leakage current is less than 1μA. Other features of the TP4065 include power supply adaptation, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge and a pin to indicate charge status.
