WT7160

【Overview】

The WT7160 is a high performance multi-mode (CCM/valley switching) flyback PWM controller. It is specially designed to work with USB PD controllers to provide a total solution for USB PD or programmable power adapters. The WT7160 helps improve overall efficiency and optimize product performance. During heavy loads it operates in continuous current mode (CCM) and during light loads it operates in discontinuous mode with valley switching.

The WT7160 minimizes component count and is available in an SOP-8 package. It provides important protection functions such as Brown input/output, Vo UVP, VDD OVP, OTP, OLP, OCP and output short circuit protection. Without the need for external LDO circuits, the WT7160 can easily provide a wide range of output voltage applications from 3.3V to 21V (7x volts), effectively reducing the total BOM cost.
