The SCT52240 is a wide supply voltage, dual channel, high speed, low voltage gate driver, including power MOSFETs, IGBTs. A single channel is capable of rail-to-rail drive capability up to 4A sourcing and 4A sinking, with rail-to-rail output. The wide voltage range of up to 24V improves the ringing amplitude margin of the gate drive at the switching moment of the power device. The 13ns input and output propagation delay characteristics are suitable for high frequency power converter applications. The SCT52240 input has wide hysteresis voltage and is compatible with TTL input logic. The negative voltage input capability as low as -5V enhances the SCT51240's immunity to input noise.
The chip has a quiescent current of 55uA. Non-overlapping drive designs for individual channels avoid output stage punch-through.
The INA and INB dual channels are designed with strict delay matching and set dead time to ensure that the SCT52240 dual channels can be used in parallel to increase the driving capability.
The SCT52240 has 170C overheat protection. Available in SOP-8 package.
